At Sierra Occupational Health Services (SOHS), both initial and follow-up medical care is provided. Our goal is to provide prompt and professional treatment to all our patients; therefore, we have established a teamwork approach with each of our employer groups. This will provide the most efficient quality patient care resulting in a rapid return of your employee to the work place. In addition, variety of other occupational health services are available such as drug screen collections, breath alcohol testing (By Appointment at Palmdale Location Only), pre-employment, annual, and DOT physicals. All injured workers will be thoroughly and appropriately evaluated and treated. Work status calls will be made to the appropriate on-call supervisors for initial injuries. Written status reports will be sent on all visits to the clinic with recorded check-in and check-out times. Our program emphasis is to provide quality care to the injured workers and return him/her to full work status as soon as possible. We will work with each manager on modified duty programs, if requested. Modified duty programs are very successful in decreasing the number of lost time injuries. First Report of Injury will be sent out within 5 days. Supplemental reports as well as a discharge summary will be sent out on a timely basis and on all injured employees. Any referrals to specialists will be coordinated with the appropriate risk management personnel. We will provide an open communication between company managers, risk managers, and our providers.
